Default Upping the shot

Ordering some bigger jets, .082-200 shot, .085-225 shot, .093-250 shot.

Just wondering who reads plugs at the track after making test hits on the bottle? Up until now I have not been, just checking a plug or 2 after I drive back to the pits to look for signs of detonation. I know this is not the correct way to tune on the bottle.

Anybody reading plugs at G'ville? Do you shut the car off at the finish line, put the car in neutral and coast to the last turn-off then pull some plugs or some other method? I drive to the track, so no atv to pull me back to the pits.

Is tuning on the dyno and reading plugs the same as reading plugs after a track run?

Anybody know if G'ville sells unleaded race gas? I sent them an email.

As per
http://www.4secondsflat.com/Spark_plug_reading.html

The best way to tune for WOT is by doing a shut down at the end of the track and doing a proper WOT reading on the plugs. now getting back to the pit area might involve getting a favor from someone with said ATV.

Yea you can do it right after a pass, but you SHOULD NOT pull plugs on a hot engine especially with alluminum heads. you can pull the threads right out of the head. you need to let cool down to the touch.
